DELE C2 Sample Exam
The DELE C2 is the highest level of the Diploma of Spanish as a Foreign Language. Unlike other levels, the C2 integrates language skills into combined tests. Here's the complete structure.
Test 1: Use of Language, Reading and Listening Comprehension
Duration: 105 minutes · Tasks: 6
Task 1 — Reading comprehension
Answer multiple-choice questions about a complex informational text of approximately 450 words.
Task 2 — Reading comprehension
Complete a text with extracted fragments, demonstrating understanding of textual cohesion.
Task 3 — Reading comprehension
Identify which texts contain specific ideas or information.
Task 4 — Use of language
Complete a text with the correct lexical or grammatical options.
Task 5 — Listening comprehension
Answer questions about extended conversations or monologues.
Task 6 — Listening comprehension
Match statements with speakers or identify specific information in complex audio.
Test 2: Integrated Skills — Listening and Reading Comprehension + Written Expression
Duration: 150 minutes · Tasks: 3
Task 1 — Writing from listening
Listen to a lecture or presentation and write a formal text (report, article) integrating the information heard.
Task 2 — Writing from reading
Read several texts and write an argumentative text integrating ideas from the sources.
Task 3 — Revision and correction
Identify and correct errors in a text, demonstrating mastery of linguistic norms.
Test 3: Integrated Skills — Reading Comprehension + Oral Expression
Duration: 20 minutes (+ 30 min preparation) · Tasks: 3
Task 1 — Sustained monologue
Present a topic based on support texts, organizing a coherent and well-structured discourse.
Task 2 — Debate
Discuss the presented topic with the interviewer, defending and nuancing opinions.
Task 3 — Negotiation
Participate in a communicative situation requiring negotiation, persuasion, or problem-solving.
Scoring
Grading system
Maximum score: 100 points. A minimum of 60% is required on each test (20 points per test) to pass. The result is PASS or FAIL.
