DELE C2 Exam Model
The DELE C2 is the highest level of the Diploma of Spanish as a Foreign Language. Unlike other levels, C2 integrates language skills into combined tests. Here is the complete structure.
Test 1: Language Use, Reading and Listening Comprehension
Duration: 105 minutes · Tasks: 6
Task 1 — Reading Comprehension
Answer multiple-choice questions about a complex informational text of about 450 words.
Task 2 — Reading Comprehension
Complete a text with extracted fragments, demonstrating understanding of textual cohesion.
Task 3 — Reading Comprehension
Identify in which texts certain ideas or information can be found.
Task 4 — Language Use
Complete a text with the correct lexical or grammatical options.
Task 5 — Listening Comprehension
Answer questions about extensive conversations or monologues.
Task 6 — Listening Comprehension
Match interventions with statements or identify specific information in complex audios.
Test 2: Integrated Skills — Listening and Reading Comprehension + Written Expression
Duration: 150 minutes · Tasks: 3
Task 1 — Writing from Listening
Listen to a lecture or presentation and write a formal text (report, article) integrating the information heard.
Task 2 — Writing from Reading
Read several texts and write an argumentative text integrating the ideas from the sources.
Task 3 — Review and Correction
Identify and correct errors in a text, demonstrating mastery of the linguistic norm.
Test 3: Integrated Skills — Reading Comprehension + Oral Expression
Duration: 20 minutes (+ 30 min preparation) · Tasks: 3
Task 1 — Sustained Monologue
Present a topic based on supporting texts, organizing a coherent and well-structured speech.
Task 2 — Debate
Discuss with the interviewer about the presented topic, defending and qualifying opinions.
Task 3 — Negotiation
Participate in a communicative situation that requires negotiating, persuading, or solving a problem.
Scoring
Grading System
Maximum score: 100 points. A minimum of 60% is required in each test (20 points per test) to pass. The result is PASS or FAIL.
